Holmen Middle School students participate in the National History Day State Competition

On May 4, 650 WI students competed in the annual NHD event, with projects in the following categories: historical paper, website, performance, exhibit and documentary. From Holmen: Daniel Fischer (website),* Thomas Carlson (website), Rachel Fries and Ashley Kromke (exhibit), *Kelsey Koebl (paper), Elizabeth Massman (paper), *Molly Wettstein (performance), *Chanda Yang, *Eshai Yang and *Houachie Hang (performance). For each category, two projects were chosen for the national competition to be held in June at the University of Maryland, and two more as alternates (starred names).

The Holmen School District will recognize this year's retirees for the 175 combined years of service and many friendships shared over time.

The open-house style reception will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013, at the District Office, located at 1019 McHugh Road, from 3:30 – 5:30 pm.
The Recognition/Thank You segment will begin at aproximately 4:00 pm.

The public is welcome.
