I am a 3rd grade teacher at Prairie View Elementary. It is important to me to develop and nurture a strong partnership between school and family.  Communication and support for one another is vital for the success and happiness of your child in third grade.  I thank you for sharing your most precious gift with me.

In third grade we incorporate the Responsive Classroom social curriculum, Lucy Calkins Writing, Math Expressions math curriculum, and Scott Foresman Reading Street reading curriculum through the 4 Block Literacy Model.  We also incorporate CAFE' and components of Daily 5.
My teaching career began in the Holmen Middle School where I taught 6th grade.  After six years I transferred to Viking Elementary where I taught a 4/5 multiage class for two years and later looped between 2nd and 3rd grade for seven years.  When Prairie View Elementary opened I accepted the opportunity to teach 3rd grade.  It is a delightful age to teach!
I received my Bachelor of Science degree and my Masters degree from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.

Feel free to contact me at school by e-mail or phone.   More information can be acquired from our Prairie View third grade blog.
