Student 1:1 Technology Program
Background • Forms • Devices • Protection Plan • Support
A Brief Background
Voters approved technology referenda in 2015 and 2019 to ensure student device access through summer 2024. Continued support in 2022 sustains ongoing technology and maintenance—allowing the District to continue its 1:1 program.
Forms & Documents
- Forms relevant to technology and Chromebooks, including a Device Protection Plan, are now processed as part of online registration. Paper copies of forms are not collected.

District-Provided Devices
All 1:1 student Chromebooks are touchscreen Acer models. Devices typically remain with students for 3–4 years and are refreshed on a District-managed cycle.
Device Protection Plan (DPP)The optional, self-operated DPP helps cover accidental damage and theft for student Chromebooks (limits apply). Families must opt in annually.
2025–26 fee: $35 per student/device (coverage through the school year and following summer, or until graduation/withdrawal—whichever comes first). Coverage applies to one time accidental damage for each part of the Chromebook (e.g. screen, keyboard). If a part has been replaced on the DPP and is subsequently damaged, the family will have to pay for the replacement part.
Opt in during online registration or contact your school office at other times.
