Information for Candidates
Detailed information about the role of a Board member, election process, and important deadlines for this year's election are available in the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) booklet, "Guide for Candidates". Board Policy 0142.1 Electoral Process includes information specific to the School District of Holmen.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: An elector, including incumbents, desiring to be a candidate for a position on the Board of Education must file the required paperwork at the School District of Holmen Frederic D. Frick Administrative Center, located at 1019 McHugh Road, Holmen, WI, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or directly with the Board Clerk on or before January 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. (The Administrative Center will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.) Paper copies of all required forms are available at the Frederic D. Frick Administrative Center.

- Declaration of Candidacy (Form EL-162SD)
- Campaign Registration Statement (Form CF-1 Local Candidate)
Candidate Eligibility
Any eligible elector may be a candidate for school board membership. An eligible elector must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of the district for at least twenty-eight (28) days preceding the election
- Maintain full-time, ongoing residency throughout the term
