    The School Board is presenting to the community a non-recurring referendum to exceed current revenue limits.  On Tuesday, April 4, 2017, voters will be presented a “Yes/No” choice to support funding for capital improvements.

    A referendum is necessary to generate the money needed to complete the identified capital improvement projects. Because of the School Board's long range financial planning, the District will be able to accomplish these improvements with no net increase to current school property taxes.

    Those projects include:
    1. Constructing two stage controlled entry to buildings, improving door locking and security surveillance systems. This will address recently identified safety and security needs of our students. Constructing public streets on the West and North side of the HHS site. This will promote safety by alleviating traffic congestion at McHugh/Briggs.

    2. Developing parking, new on-site access drive and site improvements at the high school. This will increase parking capacity and promote the full use potential of the high school site.

    3. Developing additional seating and installing a multi-purpose synthetic turf field at Empire Stadium. This will provide a field that more effectively meets the multiple program needs of the high school and community. This project will be made  possible by a combination of anticipated private donor contributions nearing $1 million and approved referendum dollars.
