Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
We are so excited to continue our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) journey here at Evergreen. We've revamped our PBIS system to make it better suit our students in all settings. Students that are caught being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible receive individual acknowledgements to fill their (paper) debit cards, and classes are earning stickers to achieve their class goal. Tier 1 PBIS Overview Explained by Students
What is PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports)? Well, PBIS is about ensuring that all students have access to the most effective and accurately implemented instructional and behavioral practices and interventions possible. PBIS is a decision making framework that guides selection, integration, and implementation of the best evidence-based academic and behavioral practices for improving important academic and behavior outcomes for all students.
