Each year, the Viking Elementary PTO distributes funds to teachers and staff in the form of mini-grants. Some examples of the almost $4,000 in mini-grant funds put to use during the 2024-2025 school year include: wiggly seats, literacy tools like magnetic letters and classroom books, field day supplies, lap desks, desk storage baskets, field trip funding, sensory support tools and technology resources like iPads.
Parents, teachers, staff and other stakeholders at Viking Elementary may submit an application to the PTO. PTO members review applications and vote to determine which mini-grant applications will be awarded.
The Viking Elementary PTO is excited to be offering mini grants during the 2025-2026 school year! NEW THIS YEAR, we are transitioning our mini-grant application and award cycle to the fall term. The deadline to submit a request is Friday, October 3, 2025. The PTO will review requests and vote on approvals during the October 14, 2025 meeting.
