Hourly Wage Workers
Hourly wage worker positions in the District include but are not limited to: Office Professionals, Educational Assistants, Executive Assistants, Nutritional Services Staff, Drivers, Custodians, Maintenance Workers, Mechanics, and Technicians.
The Hourly Employee Wage Schedule for hourly employees is determined by the classification of employment and step placement. In addition to wage increases for step placement, the District generally provides for annual increases to all wage rates paid to hourly employees. Hourly employees receive 1 and ½ the standard compensation rate when working in excess of 40 hours per week, commonly referred to as “overtime”.
Substitute Employees
Substitutes shall be employed at the rate established by the District. For classifications of employment that are not listed, the District Administrator will determine substitute pay rates on a case-by-case basis. Consideration may be given, but not limited to, the following criteria: market rate, internal comparability, qualifications, availability of substitutes, and duration of position.
Teachers – Expanded Professional Duties
Planning, leader and mentor duties include but are not limited to: Curriculum Planning, Team Leader, Mentor, Curriculum Chair/Curriculum Council and Other Assignments.
From time to time teachers provide serve to the District in these capacities related to their professional teaching capacity. When providing these services to the District they are compensated at a stipend amount.

Teachers - Extra Duties
Extra duties include but are not limited to: Chaperone, Crowd Control, Ticket Taker, Event Manager, Clock-Timer, Scorekeeper and Chains. From time to time teachers perform these extra duties unrelated to the duties of their teaching position. When providing these services to the District they are compensated on a per event basis.
These positions are from time to time filled by individuals not on the teaching staff. Compensation rates are the same for teachers and non-teachers filling co-curricular positions.

Teachers – Salary Schedule
Teaching positions in the District include but are not limited to: classroom teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, school nurses, school psychologists, instructional specialists and speech and language pathologists.
The wage schedule for teachers allows for increases in salary based upon the years of service and attainment of post Bachelor Degree credits and degrees. The greater the years of service and number of credits and degree(s) the higher the compensation rate. In addition to wage increases for years of service and credits/degree, the District generally provides for annual increases to all salary rates paid to teachers.
The nature of the duties performed by teachers are not time bound. Therefore, the salary rates for a position are not adjusted for work in excess of 40 hours per week.
