I was born and raised on my family farm in Lanesboro, MN. I attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for my undergraduate degree in Broadfield Social Studies with minors in history and political science. I attended Viterbo University and earned my Reading Teacher license while completing my Master’s in Education degree in 2011. In 2019, I completed my Educational Leadership license also from Viterbo University.

Following my undergraduate degree, I worked at the LaCrosseRoads alternative high school in the School District of La Crosse. In 2009, I accepted a position in Cashton, WI as the middle school social studies teacher and held the position for the next eight years. While teaching, I also served as the district’s Academic and Career Planning coordinator and head boys basketball coach. In 2018, my family and I moved to the Holmen community following my acceptance to serve as one of the Associate Principals at Holmen High School.

When I am not at school, I enjoy time with my family and friends. My wife Katie and I have three children, Amelia, Isabel, and Bo. We love being closer to the Mississippi River and enjoy boat rides, tubing, and fishing throughout the summer. Growing up in Minnesota, I am an avid Minnesota Gophers fan, yet converted to the Green and Yellow fan base in the winter of 2011, certainly a memorable moment for any Packer’s fan. 

I am honored to serve and be a part of the Holmen High School family and the School District of Holmen.
