I was born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin and I have lived in the coulee region my whole life.  I attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and earned by Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1993 and later earned my Master's of Education and Professional Development in 1997. In 2014, I completed my Educational Leadership license from Viterbo University.

During my undergraduate years I played football at UW-L under coach Harring and was a volunteer coach at La Crosse Central and West Salem high schools. In 1997, I accepted a position teaching Physical Science and Biology at Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School.  I then ventured to West Salem High School where I taught Physical Science, Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology from 1998 to 2014.  I also served as member of the Leadership Team, Assistant Girl's Basketball Coach, Power Lifting Coach, and Head Football Coach during my time at WSHS.  I began my service to the Holmen community and district as an Associate Principal at Holmen High School in 2014 and transitioned to my current role as Principal in 2018.

I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends.  My hobbies include almost any outdoor activity: hiking, kayaking, camping, boating on the Mississippi river, as well as hunting and fishing. My four daughters and I enjoy adventures, traveling to new places and of course attending Wisconsin Badger athletic events - Go Bucky!

Many teachers and coaches have had a profound influence and impact on my life.  Additionally, I work alongside so many talented people at HHS and the School District of Holmen.  I am grateful to ALL of these leaders - thank you!
